Have you watched the TV show "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader"? Well it is obvious those responsible for the Eeconomic Impact Statement are not... I have to admit that I was expecting to see an actual EIS on the county's fertilizer ordinance. Not an uneducated guess.

It is inappropriate for the Punta Gorda City Council to lift water restrictions just to increase revenues. In fact, it is down right selfish.

Chances are you have read the reports in our local papers concerning the acquisition of Ryals Ranch. Maybe you have even seen it on the local news broadcast. I think I have a little different perspective on this issue and would like to share some information you have not read or seen in the media.

On Wednesday May 7, the City of Punta Gorda will decide whether to charge those who use the city boat ramps. This is a fine example of government sticking it to the little guy.

Years ago I questioned a County Commissioner as to the contributions he received. He explained to me with a straight face, that the money bought access. If that is true, a Dr. in Miami has access to Commissioner Tom Moore's car, boat and house.
